Your privacy matters deeply to us. MeetNathaniel serves people at one of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. We take the protection of your personal information with the utmost seriousness.
1. Who We Are

2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly including your first name, email address, and optional phone number during registration. We collect conversation content — messages you send to Nathaniel and responses received. We collect usage data, device information, and log data automatically. We do not collect biometric identifiers. We do not collect precise geolocation data.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the Platform, process transactions, authenticate your identity, enforce usage limits, send transactional emails, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your conversation content to target you with advertising.
4. Sensitive Information
Conversations on MeetNathaniel may contain deeply sensitive personal information related to grief, loss, and family circumstances. We treat all conversation content as sensitive information. We do not share the content of your conversations with third parties except as described in this Policy. We store conversation content using industry-standard encryption.
5. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf: Anthropic PBC (AI model), Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), and ActiveCampaign (email). We may disclose information when required by law. In the event of a business transfer, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information and conversation history for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter. If you request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within thirty (30) days except as required by law.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted transmission and storage, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
8. Your Rights
You may access, update, or delete your account information at any time. Illinois residents have rights under Illinois law. California residents have rights under the CCPA and CPRA including the right to know, delete, and opt-out of sale. We do not sell personal information. 9. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain your session and authentication, and optional analytics cookies to understand how users interact with the Platform. You may decline non-essential cookies through your browser settings. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
10. Children
MeetNathaniel is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you believe we have collected such information, contact privacy@meetnathaniel.ai immediately.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Policy on the Platform and updating the Effective Date.
